We teamed up with The Lowry, Greater Manchester to celebrate the return of Matthew Bourne's Olivier Award winning 'The Red Shoes'!

'The Red Shoes' is a tale of obsession, possession and one girl’s dream to be the greatest dancer in the world. Victoria Page lives to dance but her ambitions become a battleground between the two men who inspire her passion.

First, the team at Irregular Choice Manchester hosted a press night, where we invited local bloggers to come check out our fabulous collection of red shoes!

Here we have Chantal sparkling in some 'Nick Of Time' beauties.

'It was great to work on some filming with both Irregular Choice and The Red Shoes in conjunction with The Lowry. You can see why the two worked together, both so creative and imaginative, with designs that stand out from the crowd!'

The lovely Vicki admiring 'Flick Flack'!

'I really enjoyed feeling like a princess trying on all of the red shoes in the store, it was such a shame to give them back at the end! They are all so fabulous!! I've definitely added one or two to the Christmas list.'

Asha and Lex from Yeah Lifestyle modelling their favourite styles!

And then it was on to The Lowry for opening night!

Charlotte, from our Manchester Store and Phillip, from Head Office, representing Irregular Choice with suitably sparkly shoes!!

The show was breathtaking! Gorgeous dancing, phenomenal set design and the most beautiful music really had us on the edge of our seats! We won't spoil the plot for you (Pssst the show is on tour now!) but needless to say it was a night to remember!

Afterwards, we grabbed a quick word with Chantal and Vicki...

'The show was utterly mesmerising, cinematic story telling through imaginative choreography, and intricate set design. You fall in love with the unexpected and empathise with the characters especially Vicky, the lead. The interval leaves you on tenterhooks and the 2nd act has you totally enthralled. A show within a show that is a definite must see. A truly wonderful evening.'

Asha & Lex enjoying their Irregular Choice Goodie Bags!

'Passion in the movement, passion in the storytelling, passion with the performance. It was a delight to watch and I couldn't recommend it enough! You don't have to be into ballet or even dance to enjoy it, if you enjoy theatre and storytelling you will enjoy this! There was a moment, with shooting stars (if you go you will know!) that gave me goosebumps.'
