The Irregular Guide to Carnaby Street

SS 18 Prints (1)

Our Carnaby Street team are excited to share their pearly girly wisdom, to give you the best and most irregular guide to Carnaby Street, (and further afield) that they can!

What hotels/accommodation offer the most uplifting stay?

The water tower, as seen on Grand Designs, is not only central London's only water tower, it's also a 4 story 'apartment' available to book via Airbnb (and it's very affordable!) You can't get more irregular than that!

Where do you go for a yummy breakfast?

The breakfast club in Soho; it's just a short walk from Carnaby Street and has a yummy array of scrumptious breakfast choices- including pancakes with bacon and maple syrup- to set you up for a day exploring the city!

Most quirky coffee shop?

Cutter and squidge serve the perfect tasty treats for afternoon tea, including a yummy array of 'biskies' (an irregular choice-style hybrid of a cake and biscuit!)

Most amazing flavours of Icecream?

Who wouldn't want to try the 'Snowflake Luxury Gelato'? Amorino, the proud creator of this fabulous flavour is just a stone's throw from Carnaby Street in the beautiful must-see Soho.

Whats the most irregular place to go to eat?

Sketch is our team's favourite hotspot; a quirky, 18th-century townhouse tea room and restaurant with regularly hosted art, film and music. Yes please!

Local delicacy we mustn’t miss?

London's so culturally rich that you can find a different cuisine on every street. Our Carnaby Street team love the local Fish and Chips but there's a delicacy for every day of the year in this multicultural capital!

What do you consider your most beautiful street?

Neals Yard in Covent Garden is a beautiful place to take a stroll, with bright,  colourful buildings aplenty and a lovely courtyard cafe to watch the world go by.

Where do you wander to get inspired?

Richmond Park, situated in south-west London, is a magical place full of beautiful deer and whimsical wildflowers. Think you might not see any deer on your ramble? Not a chance! There are over 300 red deer and 350 fallow deer living there to help you get inspired!

Where to go to experience your culture first hand?

Camden Market is full of interesting things to see, buy and experience. With lots of street food to enjoy, eat on the riverside and soak up the local culture.

Best park to see colourful flowers?

There are flowers-galore at Kew gardens. Enjoy a tour around the iconic Palm house, with its carefully created rainforest climate, home to plants that coffee, chocolate and rubber come from!

Most fun to have with kids?

London is famous for its Theatre productions and Disney's Aladdin in SoHo is no exception!

Where to dance like nobody's watching?

Heaven has been going in London since 1979 and has always been a fun and flamboyant night out for the city's residents and visitors alike!

What area would you say an Irregular girl would love to shop in?

Carnaby Street of course! With its proximity to Oxford Street (the high street of all high streets), it's the perfect place to duck out of the rush and shop more leisurely, not to mention come and say hi to our lovely team in our store!
